MANUAL THERAPY
Manual Therapy is a hands-on treatment method used by specialized therapists to assess and address various issues affecting soft tissues such as muscles, joints, and connective tissues.
At Ji Physical Therapy, our manual therapy includes medical massage, joint mobilization, trigger point therapy, manipulation, and nerve mobilization to alleviate neurological symptoms. This approach aims to reduce pain, increase pain threshold, enhance joint range of motion, improve blood circulation within tissues, and increase soft tissue elasticity.
THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE

NORMAL BREATHING
TRAINING
“If breathing is not normalized, no other movement pattern can be.”
Dr. Karel Lewit
Most people are unaware that they engage in mouth breathing, an abnormal breathing pattern that can lead to various functional impairments in the body. Abnormal breathing patterns are connected to the nervous system and can contribute to a range of symptoms, including sleep disorders, emotional changes like anxiety, spinal pain, and chronic whole body pain. Our clinic offers comprehensive care to address these issues, including breathing education to promote normal breathing patterns, manual therapy to relax the muscles around the spine, spinal and rib joint mobilization, and exercise programs designed to strengthen the respiratory muscles. Proper breathing is also a critical component of pelvic rehabilitation, particularly in training the pelvic floor muscles
POSTPARTUM /
PELVIC FLOOR MUSCLE DYSFUNCTION
Most mothers experience significant changes during pregnancy and childbirth that often lead to pain in the lower back, pelvis, and hips. Additionally, the demands of childcare can cause discomfort in the neck, shoulders, and wrists. However, pelvic floor muscle dysfunction is not limited to pregnancy and childbirth; both men and women can experience symptoms such as urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, nocturia, a feeling of incomplete bladder emptying, pain during sexual intercourse, or sexual dysfunction, as well as pain in the pelvis, lower back, and hips.
Our clinic offers comprehensive physical therapy services to address these issues, including manual therapy for the muscles and joints associated with pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic floor muscle re-education through proper breathing techniques, and performance training to ensure you can carry out daily activities without discomfort. Whether you're recovering from childbirth or dealing with pelvic floor dysfunction, our tailored treatments are designed to help you regain full function and improve your quality of life.
